A Thousand Words – new weekly documentary series by Jay Lamm

Hey, folks.
I’m proud to announce that I’ll be releasing a new documentary series on YouTube called “A Thousand Words.”

In this series, we’ll take a look at some of the world’s most iconic images, examining their story, touch on some technical aspects, and answer why they are still so enduring…in about a thousand words.

Yes, they say a picture is worth a thousand words. We all know the cliche. Because every image has a story tell and that’s just what we aim to do: tell you a gripping story about a famous image you thought you already knew.

And here’s the thing: every episode has already been filmed and will consistently post to YouTube every Saturday at 11am (CST). A new episode every week throughout 2024.

I have to say I’m very proud of this project and how it turned out. I’ve personally been working on this project for a couple of years now with the specific intent of doing an entire years-worth of compelling content. I hope you can swing by the channel, subscribe to the channel, and give the first “intro” video a thumbs-up and comment to help me out with the ole YouTube algorithm

I can’t wait for you all to check out this series and I hope it adds some enjoyment to your life each Saturday.

The first episode will air on January 6th and will be about my personal favorite photograph of all time: Neil Armstrong in the EVA, taken by Buzz Aldrin.

Other episodes include: The Cottingly Fairies by Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths, Self Portrait by Robert Mapplethorpe, The Vulture and the Little Girl by Kevin Clark, Ashes and Snow by Gregory Colbert, End Times by Jill Greenberg, Xteriors by Desiree Dolron, and many others.
